2024 Summer & Fall Basketball Camps Near Dubuque, IA

My son learned many drills he can do on his own at home. I liked that there wasn't a lot of standing around.

Overall, it was excellent and my son absolutely loved it.

Coach Courtney was a huge selling point as a parent to choose this camp. We did a couple Breakthrough camps in the central Iowa area for our kids, some were great and my husband helped coach during one! But we were turned off by one in Cedar Rapids with my son.. however Coach Courtney has an incredible reputation here so we decided to give it another go as our 7th and 8th camps for the summer for my daughter. We also chose to do the other Breakthrough camp she hosted at the Peosta community center earlier this winter and my daughter signed up with one friend in that one, came with 4 friends this time. From my daughter who attended "It felt a lot more like individual and physical improvement, it focused on ball handling, a few post moves, finishing around the rim, and shooting. The coaches would walk you through the drills if you got confused, and helped you through it until you got the hang of it. It was a large gym with multiple hoops and a place to eat right around the corner (it was easy to keep everyone in one place).".

Details on skill work. Chris explained well the application of each skill. Good amount of reps for each player. Many ways of learning: verbal, visual, actual doing. Excellent time spent as a player and coach.

Kaden loved everything!!! This is his second year...this will be a camp he will go definitely every year!

Good organization, good instruction about the drills...followed up with a good amount of repetition. Good balance of "new" techniques and basic techniques. Justin is very good with young adults and kids.

Liked that there were many coaches available to split up and get one on one attention.

We practiced and learned about new things

My daughter loved camp everyday she came home and wrote down notes of things to work on. It was evident campers were highly motivated to get better at their skills.
