European Ball Screen Offense - good offense?

Next season I will have two really good three point shooters and no post players. I am looking for an offense where those two are always coming off screens. Is this a European Ball Screen Offense - with Lason Perkins a good offense for that?

I am not sure what age group you are talking about here... but the first thing that comes to my mind is the blocker mover offense. I never ran this and I wouldn't reccommend this for younger kids, but here are a few sites that talk about this offense.

I might be wrong here, but take a look and lets see what the other coaches have in mind.

Coach - With the European Ball Screen offense you want at least 3 guys that are good ballhandlers that can come off the ball screens and make decisions. You should get some good drive and kick looks out of it and it's a good offense. But if you don't have good hallhandlers I don't think it would be a good offense.

Even with some good shooters and no post players, I personally think it's important to have an inside and outside attack. If you rely too much on outside shots, you'll live and die by the three and it could be an up and down season.

If you don't have post players but good shooters, I would compliment the good shooting with a dribble drive attack and/or cutting attack. I think that balanced inside and outside attack makes a big difference. Not to mention, by getting the ball inside (via drive or pass), you get wide open looks for your shooters.

You can run a motion that emphasizes flare screens and cuts. Constant flare screens and cutting is tough to guard. You can run a 5 out that just spreads things out for 3pt shots and dribble drive.

I suggest visiting some of the FIBA notes on offense. The variety of coaches that contribute to the website use a lot of variations for screening for outside shots. The now stopped FIBA Assist Magazine has good notes on this type of offense.

Tournament notes from the Schweizer Tournament are also good. These can be found from a number of sites with a quick search.
