Quickness

I'm a very solid player already and my fundamentals are very good in my opinion. I'm a 6'1 shooting guard in 9th grade, so while I usually have a size advantage, I'm a tad slow (and that's being nice). I sometimes struggle against the best players in Florida as we have lot's of athletes here. Any recommendations on how to get quicker? I currently jump-rope almost everyday.

A TAD slow??? :-)
Jumping rope will help, try jumping over a stationary line with both feet - back and forth for 20 seconds at a time. Then try something that is a little bit higher doing the same thing... like a board thats 4-6 inches high?
Then you can try this.... start at one side of the free throw lane and slide from one side to the other for 15-20 seconds at a time. Sprint from the end line to the free throw line and back, then to half court and back.... you can do that a few times in a row.
You might try concentrating on change of pace when you are playing... kind of lull the D player to sleep and then a quick burst of speed. I have seen some good players use this to their advantage.... utilizing a very quick first step then.
Look up Plyometric training, you can get some ideas there too. Good luck and I hope some of this helps.

I'm glad that you have a good sense of humor :-)
Good luck with those tips, I hope they can help you. By the way, play to your strengths... let the shot find you while doing what you need to do to get open and as you ask for the ball, be ready to shoot.
