a lot of kids play basketball here now, but there's not a lot of future here for the sport.
there's a lot of talent here but people stop playing seriously after 12th grade, so i wish that would improve.
and im doing good , im a very good ball handler, i have a good midrange shot , and good defence but im small about 5'6, 5'7
and yeah we don't have leagues over here , just tournaments where we play a game a day for about a week , and there are opportunities for getting selected in the city team.
we have u-16 matches next week and im going to try and get selected this year , but i can play this tournament for another year so , i can get selected next year too

Good luck, I hope you have a good experience and play well.
Its a shame that they don't have any leagues where kids can play. Don't any of the high schools have teams that play in leagues?
Your goal should be to make that City team so you can further your game. Work on your ball handling fundamentals and your shooting. Being a good defender is very important, there is always room on a team for someone who is a shut down defender.
Don't worry about your height.... thats something you have no control over - worry about the things you can control. As you get older you will grow and you are not what I would call super short for a 14 year old. I didn't reach that height until I was a senior in high school.

It depends on the area that you live in.... our school had 5 levels..... Freshman A & B teams - a Sophomore team, a JV & Varsity team that practiced together.
Typically you play X number of games ( 21 ) Two tournaments and then the State tournament.
Do you have any questions in particular that you want to know about? OR is this what you were looking for?
