Motion - Zone Adjustment

In one of your articles describing the adjustments you make to your motion offense when playing against a zone, you mention after a perimeter player cuts, they should hook back and look for the ball in a gap. Can you describe exactly how this is done, for example, when the top passes to the right wing in a "4 out 1 in motion" offense? thank you.
It's the same adjustments explained in this post:

So in the "4 out with low post" explanation.... when a player at top passes, they can cut in the middle. They can use a "hook" back action if you want but I don't worry about that. I just want them finding a gap in the middle and trying to open a passing window to receive the ball. They can wait for 3 seconds or until next pass is made. If in lane, need to be careful about 3 second call.

Then after 3 seconds or pass is made, they clear to open spot on perimeter (usually weakside).
