Hoping to get some good info here if anyone knows.
Are Division 1 assistant coaches allowed to coach clinics at the youth level - or is that a compliance issue? I've seen Division 2 and 3 assistants actually coach AAU teams - but never a D1 coach. We're trying to bring in some qualified coaches to run a few clinics for our boys.
Long shot but hoping someone knows.

If you're just talking about clinics, I don't see why a D1 coach couldn't run a few of those. We have clinics at a popular facility that has affiliations with our local NBA team. NBA players, coaches, college players and coaches all seem to help out during the summer at various camps.
I think the short answer is the D1 coach should know what their restrictions are (if any) in terms of helping with clinics during the summer. The flipside is the same with the AAU league, they might have rules regarding who can help out and in what capacity.
