How to come up with a defensive Philosophy?

I got few points like no middle and force everything baseline but now my mind is blank.

I think this depends on your talent level and what you think is important. Is this youth basketball? IF it is, your goal should be to teach them m2m.... if it is HS varsity, you might want to add a zone to your game plan.

Do you want to play pressure m2m or pack style??
