When did you know that you wanted to coach?

at what age did you know that you wanted to be a basketball coach? I know I wanted to coach one day after I finished playing.... i basically got into coaching straight after i finished playing small college basketball.

I think it was when I started helping to coach little league kids... that was maybe 21? It took me 11 years to get up enough courage to go to college. ( I was not a very good high school student. ) I coached 7 - 8th grade kids for about 13 years and finally got my degree and moved on to the high school level at 36. Stayed at the same high school until I retired.
