Basketball IQ

I really want to get smarter in basketball on the offense end, like when to pass when to shoot or when to beat my defender and drive past him, is there anything that can help me on that?

Of course game experience will always help. But I would also recommend to just study, study, and study the game. Watch as much as you can. The key is to watch as a student not just a fan. There are tons of DVD's out there as well that talk alot of different aspects of the game. If you have found this forum, then you have also seen all of the great tools Breakthrough Basketball has as well.
