What is in your opinion the best way to increase shooting range in youth players?

What age again?
I think it starts with where they are comfortable right now..... shooting at a good percentage at game speed.
From that point you can work you way back a few feet at a time, don't go from 15 feet to the arc, thats a recipe for disaster and frustration. The last thing you want to do is to mess with their form. Make sure as they step back a few feet that their form is CORRECT and they are having success before they go back any further.

Is there video out there of the Steve Nash adjustment? I understand that it is about dropping the elbow, but I'd like to see or read more about it.

I don't know where you find the Steve Nash adjustment. If you watch him shoot 3s on youtube, that might be your best bet.
