Injured( how to keep in shape)

Thanks Coach , your help is much appreciated . This club is one of the best clubs in Australia. The senior group is in the NBL . Hopefully the situation and the coaches will be right for me . During this process I'm starting to learn that i have to make decisions that best suit me and not others, Decisions for myself .

Totally of topic - Did you ever coach or hear about any super commited players and what where the sort of stuff they would do? Do you get what i mean . thanks
Let me give you one example .... one summer we had a few players come in early to shoot... this one kid shot
1,000 free throws every day during the summer...... He was almost automatic..... mid 80s until the 4th qtr. THEN you better NOT foul him because he rarely missed.... mid 90s in the 4th. One dribble and shoot it.. none of all the fancy junk of spinning the ball, twisting etc... just one dribble and shoot it. SWISH.
He set a goal to be the best free throw shooter in the league and on our team... he was, another all conference player. [ My Kingdom for some big men :-) ]

SET YOU GOALS and the work towards achieving them.

Had an incoming freshman become a gym rat that summer... once school started - he started to change and not for the better. He was 4'11 if he was lucky (looked like a 7th grader) but he COULD play and shoot it. I told him what my plans were..... 1/2 the freshman year with the freshman team and the second half with the sophs. Then I was going to bring him up to the Varsity his soph year, I didn't care how tall he was... he had all the tools. I caught him ditching school a few times ( I was a Dean at the time ) and he didn't like it thatI knew his every move. He was going to quit IF I didn't leave him with the sophs another year... I told him and my AD that it was his choice... he's the 3rd best guard in the program and he needs to be up with the Varsity.
He decided to stay - good choice... he became all conference but was difficult to deal with needless to say. WE still are in touch today and he thanks for me all the life lessons I taught him.
Don't lose sight of what you want to do with your life.
DIV 1 ..... thats what i want first ....... everyone says i dont have enough experince because i started play representative ball late(but played school ball when i was 11, but its a huge diffrence compared to states) but stuff them .....i will prove them wrong .

P.s I bought Power Pylos the other day and i ' m going to start it Monday . Do you know anything about this program?
No I don't, sorry about that but maybe one of the other coaches might.

You keep working at your goals... don't forget, you can always go to a Community College IF you still need more experience... its a way of getting started. Just a thought.
mamba: send me your stats, Ive got many junior colleges and several Mid Majors that usually listen to my recommendations. But i need film Coach Mac. p.s. by stats i mean height, weight, grades, graduating year. experience etc..
Sorry for the late reply coach , For some reason I'm not getting any notification on my email . Anyways for experince and more exposure like i said in previous post I'm going to go to a prep school . I Am considering a JUCO but problem is that i loose a year of eligiblity where as in prep school i dont .

What do you think the best thing to do is?
Mamba: I'm sorry son but I have no idea which is best. But I know there is someone on here that can tell you. My job is to find players for these coaches not to understand the logistics of how the system runs. So get me the stuff I need to market you and take care...Coach Mac.
Look at a Juco as a stepping stone.... IF that will get you where you want to go.... then don't be afraid to take that chance. Like Coach Mac and I.... we went to College late in life becuase we needed a degree to be able to teach and coach. I was 32, a poor student in high school..... I went to a Juco to see if I could cut it....

You have set your goals.... there is more than one way to skin a cat...... Plan A / Plan B... do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
O.k coach i'll get you my information soon enough coach . But for the time being ask around for my friend on the vid i sent you . He can play , he was at school with me two yrs ago.

Do you want me to do a 15 min video of game highlights/skill videos

Coach Sar : thanks alot and hopefully it all works out for the best at the end .

I appreciate you both guys and what you're doing. thank you for all the help
You're welcome and I hope this works out for you...... just remember.... have a Plan B, you never know what life has in store for you (or us) Hang in there.
no problems coach .

Thank you and i'll make you proud, by the way my decision making is improving so much lol
Good thing ... I didn't want to come there and "get your attention!" :-)

Sometimes we all need a good kick in the butt to get us motivated. I was watching some of my old game tapes... not so sure I would have wanted to play for me LOL
Mamba: anything that highlights your skills both in practice and during games. coach Mac
Hey Coach . Who you rooting for in the play offs???
The Bulls but we both know thats not going to happen. I'm not a great fan of Pro ball.... not since MJ left.... I guess I haven't connected with one of the newer players yet. Look up Ricky Rubio on you tube... I'd watch him for sure.

How's your game coming along?
Come on, Sars. Get into it! :) How can you not love D-Rose and Noah's energy?

I grew up a Bulls, Cubs, Bears fan. Parents are from Chicago and still have a lot of relatives there.
I love both those guys....but they don't have enough talent to go all the way. The Cubs and Sox are struggling... the Bears - ouch... the Black Hawks are struggling... played well the other night.

My first Cubs game was seeing Jackie Robinson - I think I was 10 - I bleed Chicago sports, except for the White Sox LOL
yeah D-rose is my boy ......... im working on my speed so i can be just as fast lol .

Yeah games coming along well , i've noticed a improvment in my decision making this week at training, alot of improvement!! . But i do feel really guilty this week , haven't worked on my game as much as i should be because i missed all of last week because of an illness and i had so much things to catch up on and so many papers to hand in that i just couldn't do as much i wanted too .
For the first time in about 5 yrs i didn't train in the morning for 3 days straight because i was getting to bed at like 1-2am just studying . But all is under control know and i can go back to being me . my jumpshot has gone crap again and now i need a solid 2-3 days to get it grooving . i also got a game tomorrow. whats news with you??
Yea, I heard about your quickness... someone told me you drove the lane and got called for 3 seconds? LOL
Just kidding... you can never be too quick.

You have to take care of school work first so those were good decisons... see, you are making better decisions already!

All of that will come back to you as soon as you start working out again....

Nothing much new here.. just waiting for summer ...... its cool and rainy right now... I like sunshine. I watch a lot of Cubs games and the Black Hawks - I always loved Hockey from the time Bobby Hull came to Hawks.
Man you got some jokes coach sar haha .....

Yeah its cold here too in Australia , but you never know what to expect in Melbourne . You get 4 seasons in One day. Do you coach anywhere ? Pro , highschool level or just retired now coach and what state in the U.S are you in and do you get alot of snow during winter
