Zone Defense

I am coaching 4th and 5th grade girls. What is the best way to explain what position they play on zone defense and then transition that to offense. Should I teach them Forward, Guard and Center? But how about the forward that become a shooting guard? Thanks!

PLEASE..... do your kids a favor and teach them how to play m2m defense...... you might not see it in terms of Ws and Ls early..... but for their future... its the only way to go.

You cannot play the game IF you cant defend. Get them ready to play at the next level.... they will be far ahead of all the other teams that play zone... and your reward??? Seeing them play high school ball.
