zone defense

is there such a defense as zone on a out of bounds play I had a coach calling the defense we were playing by not being tight on the offese as a zone which in our league you are suppose to play man defense only I feel that sagging off is still man defense

There are a few ways of playing m2m D.... one is pressure the ball and deny one pass away... the other is pressure the ball and sag off of everybody else... or you can play a passive m2m.
