Just finished watching the flex offense DVD. Had a question for those coaches that have run this offense. What depth do you like the down screen set at? Do you like the guard to go all the way to the block area to set the screen, half-way down the lane, or farther out?
I am sorry if I missed it and maybe it wasn't specifically mentioned in the video. It seemed in the video that the depth varied quiet a bit as the players were running it.
Depth of downscreen in flex offense

My opinion is you go to the level of the defender you need to screen. Much of it depends on where the first flex screen is set and where the defense plays and what your timing allows for.
I would just start running the offense. Let your players figure out what works. Then at the same time you can observe and make adjustments to the depth and timing of the screen, if needed. However there's a good chance you won't need to make adjustments -- it will just work out on it's own.
Hope this helps.
