I was wondering with the 5-out motion does your interior passing get sacrificed? It seems like dribble, drive, dish would not exist. Just drive and kick out to the perimeter. Thank you for any ideas on this.

It depends on the type of 5 out motion you use, what you emphasize, etc.
This past season I ran 5 out motion with our 3rd grade boys, 5th grade girls, and 10th grade boys.
With the youth players, we didn't really post up because that was kinda tough to get young players to post up effectively. So we'll emphasize that more later on when they get older. However we had plenty of passing to inside players. The touches would come face cuts, back cuts, drive and hit a player in the lane that was finishing a cut or just move to open space on the dribble drive, etc.
With out 10th grade team, we posted up often, flash cut, etc. We often had two post players in the game and they would get post up opportunities on weakside flash cuts, posting after cutting, posting after ball screens, and posting after screen aways.
We had a very balance attack. There were certainly drive and kick to perimeter passes. But we also had a lot of interior passes and shots near the basket.
There are LOTS of different ways to run a 5 out motion depending on your preference and personnel.
