Bad Layup form

Hey coaches, I'm back. Well, my season just ended, with us losing some heart breaking games, one of which I missed a game tying three at the buzzer. But this isn't about that. If you remember from my post on here awhile back, you'd know that I started basketball late, and with that, came some bad techniques, no matter what side I shoot a layup from, I shoot it by jumping off my right foot instead of my left from the right side. Although I make them with ease, and I get up higher. But my coaches have a field day getting on my tail about it. So I figure since the season starts in October, this would be a great first thing to work on. But the thing is, is that when I jump off my left foot, it feels super un-natural and weird. Any tips that one of you might have to help? Thanks.
