Anyway, Thank you and God bless :)
hello Coach ! Do you know some drills i could do alone at home aside from telephone drill and floor shooting drill?
Thank you coach! God bless And Merry Christmas !

You can practice your form against a wall or work on it without a ball.... remember, its all about muscle memory.

Don't forget all the ball handling drills.... there are some on this site.

Merry Christmas to you too. God Bless
Hello Coach,

making a shot my elbow should be in a straight lane with leg or can it be a bit skewed?
I'm changing my technique and want it to finally be perfect..

Thank you in advance and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! :)
Hello coach! Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
God bless :)
Carlo - MERRY CHRISTMAS to you also... I hope SANTA is good to you. :-)

Fi - I wouldn't worry to much about being perfect, rather than you shot being comfortable for you, IF you bring the ball up with just your shooting hand you will see that your elbow is directly under the ball and that is fine for working on your form. When you use both hands I think you will see that your elbow is SLIGHTLY out....as long as your release point is good ... elbow around your eye.ear that will provide you with a great "window" for shooting.... as you release the ball, your elbow will end up under the ball... it just happens. Try this against a wall.... or shoot the ball to a friend - that way you both can look at your form and elbow.

I hope this helps, try it and let me know... and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you also.
I think santa is good :) I received lots of money this christmas hahaha. Now all i need is someone who has a paypal account :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS !! and God Bless !
Ask Jeff and Joe if there is a way for you to pay them. Good luck
Hello sir jeff and sir joe. Well i just have a question about the shooting system. As i have said before i dont have a paypal account. But i think i found someone who has a paypal account. you said it was digitally download right? So hows that, Will it be the one who purchased it the only one who could use it or she can send it to me ? Thank you and God bless:)
HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Yes it's a digital download. If someone else is going to send it to you they will need to email us and let us know.

Also, you don't need a paypal account. You just need a credit card OR a paypal account. I think you can also pay by check through the paypal option. Hope this helps.

A good indicator if your shot is straight is to practice with one hand on the side of the backboard. You want the ball to hit the side and come right back in a straight line to your hand.
Sir jeff., how will she let you know? I mean what is the email adress ?
Thank you sir jeff and HAPPY NEW YEAR
If she is "checking out" of the shopping cart and using her email, then yes she needs to send us an email and let us know. The digital product is delivered to the email address used during the purchase and also redirected to the person purchasing after check out. We save that person IP address and computer info to keep information from getting passing around illegally. So just let us know and it will be fine. Thanks.
Oh I see :) Thanks for explaining! HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD bless :)
Hello coach! Its been a long time since i visited breakthhroughbasketball. Sorry iive been so busy. By the way shooting form is good :) but still cant reach the 3 pt line. I think i dont want to be a shooting guard anymore. I think i want to be a point guard. I have read that point guard are the ones who make plays. My father told me that being a point guard is not just passing and shooting, he said that a point guard must have brain. He must know how to read his teammates and enemies he also said that he must also know when or where to pass or shoot. I cant imagine how hard is it to be a point guard. Haha. Uhhm coach what is your advice to be a better point guard? Thank you so much and God bless

It not only requires you to be able to handle pressure, but to be a coach on the floor, someone who can initiate the offense and distribute the ball. By the way, your dad is correct... you need to have a good basketball IQ.

Here is something that you can look at -

Don't worry about the 3 point shot.... that will come as you get stronger and practice more - repititions are the keys to success.

Confidence doesn’t come out of nowhere. It’s a result of something…hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication.

Hello Coach,
Just want to ask the proper way to do the floor shooting drill. Should my elbow be like this? http://www.google.com.ph/imgres?imgurl=http://www.shootingdrills.com/basketball_shooting_drills.jpg& ... kQ9QEwATgK
or should my elbow be in the floor?
Last week i have watched a video about floor shooting drill and it says that elbow should be on the floor and yesterday i have found this picture and i notice they are different. So what do you think is the correct way ?
Thank you. God bless :)

You are DEFNIITELY over thinking the game and shooting. You need to find something that is comfortable for you and go with it..... as long as its fundamentally sound. IF you are looking for PERFECTION.... thats not going to happen. If you look at a half dozen different pros, you will probably find 6 different ways to shoot the ball.

Read all of this, http://www.shootingdrills.com/floordrill.html

think back about all our conversations... you bought a DVD, watch it again..... just relax and practice your skills.
Carlo, over-analyzing things so much. You are never going to be a great shooter if you are constantly changing and thinking about form. Just go out and shoot the ball thousands of times.

Position your feet so it allows you to get your elbow under the ball. Typically staggered or slightly open (this is like Kobe Bryant when he shoots free throws).

Get your index finger in the middle of the ball and get your hand underneath the ball.

Start from a set position - ball in front of your shoulder, wrist slightly cocked.

Shoot up and out towards the basket.

Push through your fingers.

Finish with index finger at the goal.

Do this 5,000 times at the basket from different angles and up to 10 feet away. Chart your shots each day.

You can also study the pics on this page. The only pic I would adjust would be the stance pic, I like to turn the feet or stagger slightly a little more.

Come back and let us know how it's working for you. Until you do that, no more questions. :)
Hello Coach sar , sir Joe and sir jeff :)
Just want to share you about my shot right now :)
Shooting hand is kinda good I think its an almost perfect "L" position.
For the guide hand: Im trying to fix right now the flicking of the thumb of Guide hand. I tried following the tips on this page about flicking of thumb http://www.breakthroughbasketball.com/fundamentals/shooting/5-shooting-mistakes.html
But the result is a short shot. Maybe more practice. is needed
Im also trying to develop a quicker release. My dad told me im shooting in a slow motion. I think hes right, I got blocked 4 times by my defender.
Just want to share you
The players in our basketball court, they always let me join even they know that im not very good. At first my enemies really dont come near me, They just let me shoot. Sometimes they even shout shoot shoot shoot. Maybe because they know that im still learning the basics. But after making 5 in a row from 12 feet they come near me trying to pressure me and block my shots haha.
If my friend has time, Ill ask him to video my shot so that i can show it to you.

Have a nice day :) And as always, God bless :)
