Ekam123: Man, I love your work ethic son, you are a breath of fresh air. You keep working with coach Sars and he will defiantly steer you right. Kids like you make me proud to be coaching...good luck son and don't ever back off that desire. Coach Mac.

Like Coach Sars, unless your Michael Jordan, Lebron James, or Kobe Bryant, don't worry about jumping as high as you can.

Actually, you should try to shoot as quickly as possible without losing good form. The quicker you shoot, the less time the defense has to recover and defend the shot.

Thats great advice Joe.... one thing we taught our players was to try and catch the ball SHOT READY.... this allowed you to shoot the ball quicker.

Do what Coach Sars says. You can also check out this article for tips on how to develop a quicker shot: http://www.breakthroughbasketball.com/fundamentals/shooting-quicker-shot.html

Its more about achieving your goals.... and improving is a work in progress... its never ending. When you achieve the goal you are looking for - which in this case should be how fast and how well you do the drills. Once you achieve those goals - raise the bar.

Now try to improve upon the number of times you can do that drill in the 30 seconds - you could lower the time and do another repitition.
