Could anyone recommend any plays that involve alot of short passes to help get the ball closest to the net for a lay-up or jump shot while keeping some girls in constant motion?

The link above are some defensive drills. It will help with your help side defense and other intangles that make up a strong defensive team. I would suggest researching m2m denial of passes and forcing the ball to a side and stopping the reversal of the ball.

I am not sure if I am answering your question correctly or not for your motion offense. But you can run regular 1 post motion offense and weave players by using handoffs. Rather than passing have players dribble at another player and hand it off. You can have players fill spots and stress attacking the basket after the handoff. I would recommend to keep your post player on the weak side block and that will involve him/her off the dribble when the players attacks and the defense must help.
