To Teach Curls & Fades

Coach Jim Huber demonstrates a drill used at our Breakthrough Basketball Shooting Camps.

This drill teaches players how to attack a down screen using a curl cut or fade cut.

In the video, Coach Huber teaches that when the defender trails the screen, you curl.

When the defender shoots the gap, you fade.

I had the opportunity to assist Coach Huber at one of Breakthrough Basketball''s Shooting Camps held in Honolulu, Hawaii and witnessed this drill and many many more in real time. This drill is awesome! Teaches moving without the ball and evading, passing, coming off a screen and catching and shooting, and defending all-in-one, good stuff! Mahalo Coach Huber and Breakthrough Basketball for coming to the islands, everyone had lots of fun and we all learned a lot and wished the camp would never end. "A hui hou kakou..."

Looks like a great drill to help the kids understand how to get open.
