Lead Instructor - Draig Cooley

Coach Cooley has been in the basketball industry for nearly a decade, learning from top trainers and working with professional athletes from the NBA, G League, and overseas. He played college basketball at Eastern University, where he was a four-year starter, scored 1,000 career points, and helped lead his team to its first NCAA tournament appearance with the best record in school history. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, he continued his education at Villanova University, earning a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
Beyond coaching, Coach Cooley is the founder of DC Academy, a training program that focuses on developing athletes through multiple sports as well as strength and agility training while emphasizing dedication and character. With nearly four years at Breakthrough Basketball, he has impacted hundreds of athletes worldwide and is passionate about helping players reach their full potential.
