    Coach Whipple has over 30 years of coaching experience. He owns and operates a developmental sports academy, Impact Sports, out of Fort Morgan, Colorado. In addition, he has a degree in Physical Education and a passion for teaching the game of basketball to players of all ages and skill levels
    As a player, Tyrone was a standout three sport athlete in high school and two sport athlete in college. He played under the legendary Hall of Fame Coach Dan McKiernan at Palmer High School in Colorado Springs. Coach McKiernan ignited Tyrone's passion for being a developmental coach
    Coach Whipple has assisted at numerous Breakthrough Basketball camps over six years before making the much deserved transition to Lead Coach

    Coach Joel Hueser earned his degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he was a member of the Loper Basketball team from 1984 to 1988. He began his coaching career in Kansas as the boys' head varsity and junior high coach at Mankato High School
    After one year, he returned to Nebraska and took over as the boys' head varsity coach at McCook High School, leading the program for 13 years. Under his leadership, McCook qualified for the state tournament five times, finishing as the runner-up in 2000
    In 2003, Coach Hueser was hired as the boys' head varsity coach at Papillion-LaVista South High School, where he continues to lead the program. His teams have now qualified for the state tournament five times, winning the Class A State Championship in 2025. In addition to coaching basketball, he teaches in the Physical Education department

    Observing Coaches

    Observing Coaches

    Coaches can attend for free by working the basketball camp. Email us with your coaching/playing experience if you're interested in helping with the basketball camp.
    Otherwise there is a $97 fee to attend as an "observing coach". You will get to learn new drills and techniques from Joel Hueser, just like all the players and other coaches in attendance. Visit this link to reserve your spot as an observing coach.
    This fee is not necessary for parents or individuals of paid campers.
