Coach Jamal Edwards

Founder and Executive Director of Taylor Made Prep Academy, Arizona’s first college sports preparatory high school and post-graduate program.

Edwards has produced 47 college basketball players (including ESPN TOP 50 Irene Guiamatsia 2026), 15 college graduates, and 5 professional athletes

Edwards has worked with Breakthrough Basketball, where over the past eight years he has been training and directing 80 camps across 28 states, impacting thousands of young athletes nationwide

Coach Bryanna Hutchinson

Bryanna Hutchinson brings five years of coaching experience to youth and high school teams in Utah, ranging from elite-level to mid and lower-competition teams

As a Certified Mental Game Coach, she operates Coach Bry Training, a venture dedicated to helping athletes conquer mental and physical barriers. She works with individuals and teams, collaborating with high schools and clubs across Utah to enhance and improve their mental performance on and off the court

She played basketball and volleyball at Lehi HS and elite basketball for UC Schapers and Utah Flash. At SOU, her team had two NAIA national tournament appearances, and she was Academic All-Conference. She graduated with a bachelor's in Health and Physical Ed. and a Psychology Minor

At this basketball camp you will learn:

Highly effective scoring moves that work at any level.

Game like shooting drills to drive up your shooting percentage.

How to create 2-3 feet of separation from any defender for better scoring opportunities.

The best hand-eye coordination and ball handling drills that will accelerate your feel for the basketball. These drills will make dribbling during game situations feel easy.

We're pleased to announce that we have arranged for Jamal Edwards to come to Farmington, Utah to run a 3-day skill development camp for high school and middle school players. Coach Edwards has developed a very effective method to develop players and improve their decision making.
We have chosen this basketball camp and Jamal Edwards because of his unique and highly effective training methods and ability to get results. More than other traditional basketball camps, this camp will teach you with the drills and skills to continue your development beyond your time at camp. Quick decision making drills will be used to build the ideal camp learning environment. You will learn by doing. We will teach you to consistently and deliberately work to improve your performance.

Improve Your Ball handling

Considerable time will be spent on your dribbling and passing skills -- allowing you to reduce turnovers, handle any game situation, improve decision making, and improve overall ball handling skill.

Improve Your 1on1 Moves

You will learn how to beat your defender off the dribble, when to attack, how to create space, and how to develop a more explosive first move. In today's game, so many players misuse the dribble. They use it and lose their advantage against the defense. You will learn how to effectively use the dribble and cover more space with fewer dribbles at a faster pace.

Improve Confidence

During the camp, they will teach the mental aspects of the game, help you build confidence, and become more aggressive. You will learn how to train your mind, not just physical skills.

Improve Decision Making

A major emphasis of the camp will be to improve decision making. You will improve your ability to think and act in decisive ways. The unique decision making drills and skills will help you perform under pressure at the highest level.

Improve Shooting

Shooting is a critical skill to be an effective player. You'll learn keys to effective shooting and experience a variety of shooting drills to help you improve accuracy and ability to score points.

We will address technical, tactical and applied aspects of basketball that will help a player develop their game beyond the level they are currently at.

What is Quick Decision Making?

In this camp you will improve your overall skills like ball handling and shooting -- however a big emphasis of the camp will be "decision making"...

Players will learn when to pass, when to shoot, when to dribble, when to drive, angles to take, how to be more aggressive, and more.

The Training methods will:

Train the mind of players to make faster decisions within the practice environment

Improve the ability to think and act in decisive ways

Develop a confident attacking mindset

Learn how to train your mind not just physical skills

Identification, cause and correction of the most common fundamental errors

Knowledge of the skills necessary to catch, shoot, dribble and attack on offense

Game-like understanding of the application of perimeter offensive skills

During the camp, the instructors will use decision making drills and rhythm clapping to enhance the teaching of basketball's most important offensive skills - shooting, passing, dribbling and 1 on 1 moves. Combining decision making drills with rhythmic clapping enhances the learning experience for the player due to:

Observing Coaches

Coaches can attend for free by working the basketball camp. Email us with your coaching/playing experience if you're interested in helping with the basketball camp.

Otherwise there is a $97 fee to attend as an "observing coach". You will get to learn new drills and techniques from Bryanna Hutchinson, just like all the players and other coaches in attendance. Visit this link to reserve your spot as an observing coach.
