Anderson is a renowned elite player development coach and has worked with athletes in the NBA, WNBA, FIBA, NCAA (DI, DII, DIII), NAIA, JUCO, High School, Middle School, and youth levels

Martin is a former professional basketball player who played in Spain, Italy, Germany, Mexico and Canada

Coach Martin emphasizes energy, effort and attention to detail in his sessions. These are all things that players can control. Basketball is a great teacher for LIFE! Martin wants to help players win on the court, but more importantly win in life.

This 2026 Summer basketball camp focuses on developing better scoring moves, ball handling, and playmaking ability!

At these basketball camps, you improve your scoring, ball handling, shooting, passing, athleticism, footwork, decision-making, and 1 on 1 moves to take your game to the next level!

These basketball camps are for boys and girls in grades 3rd to 8th.

You will learn the techniques and skill needed to become a great shooter.

You will learn the essential skills to becoming a great ball handler� no fluff.

You will learn how to make more lay ups.

You will learn how to become a defensive stopper and rebounding machine.

You will learn the critical components of basketball IQ required to become a great offensive player from an individual and team aspect.

We will teach you all of the critical skills and concepts that coaches love and help players excel.

Ball Handling

Stationary ball handling routine that improve rhythm, feel, and coordination with the basketball.

Dribbles move to help you blow by the defense at will.

Critical progressions to ensure that your dribble moves are effective and explosive.

Shooting

How to position your feet and align your body to increase the chance of shooting the ball straight.

A form shooting routine that almost every great shooter has utilized that can be done at home.

Proper footwork and how to develop a quick release.

How to shoot game shots from game spots at game speeds.

Lay Ups / Finishing

Finishing techniques used to reduce turnovers and make more shots.

1 on 1 finishing drills that ingrain good habits while competing in a fun way.

Offense

How to cut and get open. You will learn v-cuts, basket cuts, l-cuts, backdoor cuts, and more.

How to attack down screens, back screens, and more.

Defense and Rebounding

How to improve quickness and play better on-ball defense.

How to improve speed with hip-turns, push step, and better movement fundamentals.

5 fundamental keys to effective close-outs.

How position away from the ball and be a great team defensive player.

How to effectively box out your man every time.

Footwork

How to use your feet to gain a better position to score from almost anywhere on the floor.

How to utilize front pivots, reverse pivots, step throughs, sweeps, drop steps, and hops to make you an elite player.

Passing

Improve hand eye-coordination and passing skills with the Steve Nash passing series.

Competitive passing drills to develop game-like passing with head and pass fakes.

Competitive Play and Controlled Scrimmages

Players will also get to take the skills they practiced and apply them in a game setting. This is fun and intense.

The games are set up, so the players have to give maximum effort and execute proper fundamentals. Players earn points for proper play and are deducted points for poor effort and execution.

We're pleased to announce that we have arranged for Charde Houston to come to Centralia, Washington to run a 3-day skill development camp for high school and middle school players. Coach Houston has developed a very effective method to develop players and improve their decision making.
We have chosen this basketball camp and Charde Houston because of his unique and highly effective training methods and ability to get results. More than other traditional basketball camps, this camp will teach you with the drills and skills to continue your development beyond your time at camp. Quick decision making drills will be used to build the ideal camp learning environment. You will learn by doing. We will teach you to consistently and deliberately work to improve your performance.

Improve Your Ball handling

Considerable time will be spent on your dribbling and passing skills -- allowing you to reduce turnovers, handle any game situation, improve decision making, and improve overall ball handling skill.

Improve Your 1on1 Moves

You will learn how to beat your defender off the dribble, when to attack, how to create space, and how to develop a more explosive first move. In today's game, so many players misuse the dribble. They use it and lose their advantage against the defense. You will learn how to effectively use the dribble and cover more space with fewer dribbles at a faster pace.

Improve Confidence

During the camp, they will teach the mental aspects of the game, help you build confidence, and become more aggressive. You will learn how to train your mind, not just physical skills.

Improve Decision Making

A major emphasis of the camp will be to improve decision making. You will improve your ability to think and act in decisive ways. The unique decision making drills and skills will help you perform under pressure at the highest level.

Improve Shooting

Shooting is a critical skill to be an effective player. You'll learn keys to effective shooting and experience a variety of shooting drills to help you improve accuracy and ability to score points.

Become More Aggressive

One of the biggest benefits to this basketball camp is the development of a confident attacking mindset. The drills, tools, and knowledge you'll receive at the camp will help you become more aggressive and assertive in games.

Improve Speed & Agility

Throughout the camp, there will be speed and agility drills to help you improve defense, your first step, and overall agility.

Finishing Moves

With a ball in your hands throughout most of the basketball camp, you'll get opportunities to improve your finishing moves and ability to finish at the basket. You'll learn what to do with the ball after you beat your defender and how to score more points.

Campers will leave with a better sense of self and a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in basketball and, in turn, every aspect of life. We will address technical, tactical and applied aspects of basketball that will help a player develop their game beyond the level they are currently at.

What is Quick Decision Making?

In this camp you will improve your overall skills like ball handling and shooting -- however a big emphasis of the camp will be "decision making"...

Players will learn when to pass, when to shoot, when to dribble, when to drive, angles to take, how to be more aggressive, and more.

The Training methods will:

Train the mind of players to make faster decisions within the practice environment

Improve the ability to think and act in decisive ways

Develop a confident attacking mindset

Learn how to train your mind not just physical skills

Identification, cause and correction of the most common fundamental errors

Knowledge of the skills necessary to catch, shoot, dribble and attack on offense

Game-like understanding of the application of perimeter offensive skills

During the camp, the instructors will use decision making drills and rhythm clapping to enhance the teaching of basketball's most important offensive skills - shooting, passing, dribbling and 1 on 1 moves. Combining decision making drills with rhythmic clapping enhances the learning experience for the player due to:

Coaches can attend for free by working the basketball camp. Email us with your coaching/playing experience if you're interested in helping with the basketball camp.

Otherwise there is a $97 fee to attend as an "observing coach". You will get to learn new drills and techniques from Martin Anderson, just like all the players and other coaches in attendance. Visit this link to reserve your spot as an observing coach.
