In this video, Breakthrough Camps instructor Jim Huber teaches four finishing moves that you can use around the basket to score more points.

While these moves can be used by any size of player, they are specifically effective for small guards.

Killing me coach. I have sixth grade boys who I am trying to teach them the basic fundamentals. While I get what you are doing I think this is or would be more appropriate for high school kids. ABC’s right hand right leg etc.

Yeah. I hear you there. Most of this would not be appropriate for your age group.

However, we have players and coaches at the high school, college, and professional levels that read our newsletter. This would be helpful for them as well.

Coach R. I understand what you are saying. But early you have to provide some options to avoid the block. I have kids in HS who will get 6-7 layups a game blocked because they have no idea how to throw off the blocker...can only shoot right hand right foot. The l;onger you wait the harder it is to break old habits. Good luck.

My two boys are in 7th and 8th grade and they love learning new finish moves. Both of my boys went to your camp in Spokane Wa.
Thanks, I will be using this for my 8th grade team.
