M-Shooting Drill
Ages: All Ages Youth Middle School High School+
Purpose of the Drill:
The purpose of this drill is to get shots at specifc spots on the floor while incorporating conditioning into the drill. This will make the drill more game-like in that you will be forced to shoot when tired similar to a game.
Instructions

- Player 1 steps into his spot on the wing as coach passes him the ball for a jump shot.

- After taking his jump shot from the wing, player 1 backpedals around the first cone and sprints into the top of the key for his second jump shot.
- Player 1 then backpedals around cone 2 and sprints into the other wing for his third jump shot.
- Repeat this process for the set period of time or makes.
Points of Emphasis:
- Proper footwork stepping into your shot.
- Have your hands ready and get low as you approach the shot...be prepared to shoot.
- Move at game speeds.
- Shoot jump shots off the catch and then off the dribble.
- Add counter moves for jumpers and finishes at the rim.
Motivation/Teaching Tips:
- Time the drill and keep how many you make in that specific period of time.
