We are playing a team that is very quick - they pass the ball and then they cut to the basket quickly. We run man to man but they seem to find a way to beat our wings, cut and receive the pass. Any suggestions to defend against this?
We try to apply pressure up on top before the pass, and tell our defender to not get your back to your guy and see the ball.
Thanks

You're saying that they are beating you on BACK DOOR cuts?
You can drop your wings back a step or two - more like a pack style m2m...... and they should anticipate the cut...
when the offensive player makes the cut... tell your defender to just turn his head and deny the pass with the opposite hand as he back doors.
Denying with right hand or back off a bit but still have the near hand out.. as he back cuts... turn your head to see the ball and the man cutting and deny with the left hand. Clearer?
I would suggest that you do this in practice so they understand the concept.
Work on your help side defense also... they might be able to deflect the ball, make a steal or take a charge.
