BLOCKING OUT

How do you convince girls to block out?/ They don't like touching each other, some don't mind but others are reluctant to do it// any tricks to getting them consistent? Thanks

Some boys don't do a good job of blocking out either... I think its all about YOU selling them on the importance of blocking out. Work on it every day and explain to them that its just as important to FINISH on defense - blocking out and getting the rebound - as it is to finish on offense - score -

It's usually the second and third shots that beat you, NOT the original shot.

thanks, I always ask them if they like working for free and explain that playing defense that hard and not blocking out to get the reward of the rebound is like working for free. I am a defense and rebound minded coach so I sell those 2 aspects even more then any other part of the game . thanks for the advise.

Thats a great way to put it also.... how about this.... give out a weekly award for the best rebounder and / or boxing out ?
