Hi, looking for everyone's favorite drills to use during tryouts to evaluate players. For reference, my team is current 4th graders for next year's 5th grade travel team. I'll have our high school gym with 2 main hoops and 4 side hoops. I'll only have 1 or 2 assistant coaches helping evaluate.
Also, I already have the breakthrough basketball article on "15 Basketball Tryout Drills for Efficiently Evaluating Players." Just seeing if anyone else had any other drills they liked to use.

Sorry for the late response, just saw this. I'm a big fan of the Mikan drill, just a simple version.
Look for kids that hustle when you ask 2 or 3 to come on the court for the next drill. Who's sprinting on the court? Who's hustling over when you say, "bring it in?" Who's paying attention and looking you in the eye when you're explaining something?
