New to Coaching

I plan on coaching my son's youth basketball team 8-10year olds and I want to know the easiest and best offense to implement. Practice tips would help too. I have never coached basketball. Baseball and football but not basketball. And we plan to start in a few weeks so I am trying to plan ahead as best as possible.

Generally speaking, motion offense is best for youth teams. Avoid teaching "plays" because you'll waste tons of practice time just getting them to memorize what to do. And it's not best for their long term development either.
For most beginner coaches I suggest a 5 out pass and cut offense... which is what I would consider something in between a true motion and a pattern (continuity) offense.

Big thing it to keep spacing, share the ball, and develop their skills. I like to give them plenty of freedom to just play... as long as they keep good spacing, share the ball, and take good shots.

Thank you. That offense has been my main research along with a practice plan for an hours time and once a week practice and one game a week. So should be my main focus due to time to practice just once a week.
