I have been running a 4-1 high post offense with the wings up just below the free throw line extended. I have been looking at and doing some stuff from Geno Auriemma's high post offense.
Now he brings his post to the elbow instead of at the free throw line. I was wondering: what does the spacing end up looking like and what do you think the potential benefits and problems would be from having the ball and a wing solo on one side, and the high post at the opposite elbow with two other players in the slot and the wing at the three point line just below the free throw line extended?
