Thanks Coach , your help is much appreciated . This club is one of the best clubs in Australia. The senior group is in the NBL . Hopefully the situation and the coaches will be right for me . During this process I'm starting to learn that i have to make decisions that best suit me and not others, Decisions for myself .

Totally of topic - Did you ever coach or hear about any super commited players and what where the sort of stuff they would do? Do you get what i mean . thanks

Let me give you one example .... one summer we had a few players come in early to shoot... this one kid shot
1,000 free throws every day during the summer...... He was almost automatic..... mid 80s until the 4th qtr. THEN you better NOT foul him because he rarely missed.... mid 90s in the 4th. One dribble and shoot it.. none of all the fancy junk of spinning the ball, twisting etc... just one dribble and shoot it. SWISH.
He set a goal to be the best free throw shooter in the league and on our team... he was, another all conference player. [ My Kingdom for some big men :-) ]

SET YOU GOALS and the work towards achieving them.

Had an incoming freshman become a gym rat that summer... once school started - he started to change and not for the better. He was 4'11 if he was lucky (looked like a 7th grader) but he COULD play and shoot it. I told him what my plans were..... 1/2 the freshman year with the freshman team and the second half with the sophs. Then I was going to bring him up to the Varsity his soph year, I didn't care how tall he was... he had all the tools. I caught him ditching school a few times ( I was a Dean at the time ) and he didn't like it thatI knew his every move. He was going to quit IF I didn't leave him with the sophs another year... I told him and my AD that it was his choice... he's the 3rd best guard in the program and he needs to be up with the Varsity.
He decided to stay - good choice... he became all conference but was difficult to deal with needless to say. WE still are in touch today and he thanks for me all the life lessons I taught him.
Don't lose sight of what you want to do with your life.

No I don't, sorry about that but maybe one of the other coaches might.

You keep working at your goals... don't forget, you can always go to a Community College IF you still need more experience... its a way of getting started. Just a thought.

Mamba: I'm sorry son but I have no idea which is best. But I know there is someone on here that can tell you. My job is to find players for these coaches not to understand the logistics of how the system runs. So get me the stuff I need to market you and take care...Coach Mac.

Look at a Juco as a stepping stone.... IF that will get you where you want to go.... then don't be afraid to take that chance. Like Coach Mac and I.... we went to College late in life becuase we needed a degree to be able to teach and coach. I was 32, a poor student in high school..... I went to a Juco to see if I could cut it....

You have set your goals.... there is more than one way to skin a cat...... Plan A / Plan B... do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
