For a girls under 15 team what is the best defense to use against a 2-3 offense?

Personally, my belief is that every team needs to have a solid understanding of the man to man defense. If you coach under the varsity level, you want to be very very good at man to man defense before you try anything else. An old saying in basketball goes, "If you can't play man, you can't play zone." Amen to what Joe has told you. Man 2 man is the only way to go. Your goal at this age should be to make them GOOD basketball players and get them ready to play at the next level. They will need to understand m2m principals... pressuring the ball, denying one pass away (or pack style) and getting to the help line when you are two passes away. Seeing man and ball at all times and communicating with your teammates.
This just scracthes the surface but it is a good start.

Good luck
