Tasheba Butler Camps

Coach Tasheba Butler is a highly respected basketball trainer and coach known for her energy, player development expertise, and ability to connect with athletes of all ages. A former collegiate and professional player, Coach Butler brings high-level playing experience along with a passion for teaching the game and building confidence in young athletes.

Coach Butler played collegiately at Lander University from 2007-2011, where she became one of the program’s top scorers. During her freshman season, she scored 40 points in a single game, finishing just two points shy of the school scoring record. She later surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone and finished her collegiate career with 1,191 points.

Following college, Butler continued her basketball career professionally. During the 2015-2016 season with the Texas Cyclones of the WUBA, she earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, Western Conference Player of the Year, and All-Rookie First Team recognition. She later played professionally overseas with Platges de Mataró in Barcelona during the 2016-2017 season, helping lead the team to the Copa Catalunya Final Four.

As a coach, Butler has built a tremendous reputation for creating a fun, energetic, and skill-focused environment for players. She consistently earns outstanding parent and camper feedback, averaging an impressive 9.8-9.95/10 satisfaction rating across her camps and training sessions. In recognition of her impact and leadership, she was named Breakthrough Basketball’s Coach of the Year in 2024.

Coach Butler is passionate about helping players improve their fundamentals, confidence, basketball IQ, and love for the game while creating an experience that athletes remember long after camp ends.
