A proud native of Indianapolis, IN, Coach Sienne Ransom has been immersed in the game of basketball since she was 7 years old. Her love for the sport, along with the influence of inspiring coaches and teammates, sparked her passion for coaching. Throughout her playing career, she learned the importance of both skill development and mental toughness, and now she’s dedicated to passing that knowledge on to the next generation of players.
Currently, Coach Ransom serves as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. She is also a coach for one of the top teams with Indiana Showcase, where she works tirelessly to develop young athletes, focusing on skill-building, basketball IQ, and boosting confidence both on and off the court.
Before joining Franklin College, Coach Ransom had an impactful 10-year tenure in high school basketball, where she gained experience as a JV Assistant, JV Head Coach, and most recently as a Head Varsity Assistant. Her coaching philosophy is centered on player development, aiming to help athletes not only improve their skills but also deepen their understanding of the game. By building their basketball IQ and instilling confidence in their abilities, she empowers players to grow and reach their full potential.
Coach Ransom’s dedication to coaching is a reflection of her belief that every player, regardless of their starting point, has the ability to improve and succeed with the right guidance and support. Whether in a training session or on the sidelines, she is passionate about helping players grow both as athletes and individuals.
