Shion Thomas Camps

Shion Thomas brings 18 years of coaching experience and a passion for helping athletes build strong fundamentals, develop skills, and gain confidence. He began his coaching journey by training his son from age four through earning a Division II basketball scholarship.

Shion has coached at Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Ankeny Centennial High School, and served as Skills and Coaching Director for the Ankeny Centennial Basketball Club. He is currently in his 10th season coaching high school boys with Kingdom Hoops.

His coaching philosophy focuses on teaching the fundamentals and helping players grow both on and off the court.
