Lead Instructor - Schaun Potts


Coach Schaun Potts is a seasoned basketball trainer and coach with decades of experience developing athletes from youth to the collegiate and professional levels. He has led numerous skills camps and high-profile showcases, working with standout talents like Mac McClung and John Fulkerson. His coaching background includes elite AAU programs and school teams such as Chapel Hill High School (NC) and John Sevier Middle School (TN).

Currently, Coach Potts leads Team Tennessee at the US National Games and the Rocky Top Border War Middle School All-Star Game, while playing a key role in the 423 Hoops League, helping high school players gain valuable exposure. He’s also worked with national organizations including Breakthrough Basketball, Swarm Basketball, and the AAU Select Tour.

Originally from Michigan City, Indiana, Potts played college basketball at Ashford University and earned a degree in education from Ball State University. His daughter was a four-year point guard at King University (NCAA D-II), and his son, Dace, a high-IQ point guard and top-10 sprinter in Tennessee, is committed to East Tennessee State University (NCAA D-I).

With a coaching journey spanning four states, Coach Potts brings a passionate, experienced, and impactful approach to player development at every level!
