Lead Instructor - Samantha Davidson

Samantha Davidson is the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Converse University and enters her fourth season with the program in 2024–25. Under her leadership, the Valkyries achieved their most successful season in NCAA-era history, earning 14 wins, a co-division championship, and the program’s first-ever postseason victory.

Before Converse, Davidson spent four seasons at Schreiner University, where she coached multiple all-conference and academic award winners. Her coaching journey also includes successful stints at Rhodes College, Webb School (TN), and a year working with legendary Hall-of-Fame coach Pat Summitt at the University of Tennessee.

A former standout guard at Birmingham Southern, Davidson finished her playing career ranked among the program’s top five in career assists and top ten in several shooting categories. She brings a proven track record of building competitive programs, developing talent, and fostering a winning culture—making her a tremendous asset to the Breakthrough Basketball coaching team.
