Lead Instructor - Robert Tate

Robert Tate brings more than 17 years of high school coaching experience and is the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Horizon Science Academy, where he has led the program since 2014. During his tenure, he guided the team to its first sectional championship since 2012 while building a successful feeder program for players in grades 6–12.
In addition to his high school coaching, Coach Tate works with Ohio Columbus Blueprint AAU and previously coached with Ohio Future AAU, helping develop players at the youth and high school levels. He has also been a Breakthrough Basketball camp instructor, teaching athletes in grades 4–9.
Coach Tate holds two master's degrees in education and educational leadership, is a USA Basketball Gold Licensed Coach, and was inducted into the Columbus State Community College Sports & Exercise Studies Hall of Fame in 2025.
