Lead Instructor - Richard Williams

Coach Williams developed a passion for basketball in early elementary school.  He played through high school before continuing his athletic career at Monmouth College (`12-`15) where he competed in track and field under Coach Roger Haynes.

While pursuing his graduate degree at the University of Missouri, he began his coaching career as a JV and varsity assistant for Coaches Travis Gable and Jim Scanlon at Rock Bridge High School (`15-`17).

Coach Williams is currently a teacher and administrator at Ocean View Christian Academy in San Diego, CA where he has led the varsity boys program since 2018.  He values the opportunity he has to share the love of the game with his players and has celebrated a shift in the culture within his program, including a league championship.  Additionally, he has planned and led camps and clinics for elementary and junior high aged students.
