Lead Instructor - Nick Neal


Coach Nick Neal, a Detroit native, brings over 11 years of professional basketball experience across Europe (Italy, Republic of Georgia, Croatia, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, and Czech Republic) for 11 seasons and one season in Egypt. He played two years at Kalamazoo Valley CC, earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors and ranking highly in 3-point stats. He then finished his college career at Purdue University North Central, where he scored 1,121 points in less than two years, becoming the first to reach 1,000 points in school history.

As a player at PNC, Nick was 1st in the conference in scoring (20.3 ppg), steals (1.8 spg), free throw percentage (81%), and free throw attempts (8.4/game). He earned multiple All-Conference selections and was a 3-time CCAC Player of the Week.

With over 8 years of coaching experience, Coach Nick focuses on player development, fostering good habits, consistency, teamwork, and resilience. He has also led basketball camps internationally and in the U.S., including Nike camps and his own “Nick Neal Hard Work Camp.” Coach Nick has worked with Tom Izzo at Michigan State and received multiple prestigious awards.

Known for his leadership, Coach Nick is committed to helping players reach their full potential both on and off the court.
