Lead Instructor - Iran Jones Jr.


Iran Jones Jr., a Baltimore native, has built a successful career blending psychology and sports. He holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Communication degree from Morgan State University. As a standout point guard and team captain at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC), he led the team to a Maryland JUCO Regional Finalist position in 2000.

After completing his studies at BCCC, Iran joined the coaching staff and pursued sports broadcasting at Morgan State University. He contributed to live sports talk on WEAA 88.9 FM and worked as a sports promoter for what is now ESPN 980 AM.

His extensive coaching experience includes roles at BCCC, Harford Community College, and several Baltimore City Schools. He has trained Division 1 athletes, NBA/WNBA players, and led youth teams across multiple states, focusing on holistic development.

As the Founder and CEO of “The Coach Jones Experience,” Iran mentors young athletes through sports and psychology. He collaborates with his wife, Nikita Jones, on basketball camps and authored The Basketball Gospel, sharing his insights on sports and personal growth.
