Lead Instructor - Chris Harris
Chris Harris is a native Tennessean. He graduated and played high school basketball at David Lipscomb High School in Nashville, Tennessee. After (4) State Tournament appearances at Lipscomb, he attended Harding University and Oklahoma Panhandle State where he was a Student Assistant Coach with both universities Men’s Basketball programs. After graduating from OPSU with a B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Recreation, spent the next 20+ years in college coaching.
Coach Harris currently serves as Assistant Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Walters State CC in Morristown, TN. During his 20+ years in college coaching, he has spent time at multiple NCAA I programs, including Southeast Missouri State, New Mexico State and Presbyterian College. He has also coached at the NAIA and NJCAA levels.
As a Head Coach, he led the Women’s Basketball programs at Houston Baptist University, Cape Fear CC and Volunteer State to their respective National Tournaments. With over 175+ wins in (10) years as a Head Coach, he has been recognized with several Conference and Regional Coach of the Year awards. Coach Harris is most proud of the numerous student-athletes that he has seen graduate, and can say that he has been a part of multiple programs that have went on to the National Tournament, Finished in the Top 25 and ranked in the Top 25 Academic Teams in the same Year!
Coach Harris has worked and directed numerous basketball camps since he was in high school. He has worked with Breakthrough Basketball for several years now and loves the emphasis on player development and fun atmosphere these camps provide.
