Alison Shearer Camps

Lead Instructor - Alison Shearer

Alison Shearer is entering her sixth season as an assistant coach at Luther University.

A 2014 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), Alison earned her Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Concordia University Texas in 2018. She joined the Norse staff after spending three seasons as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Buena Vista University (2019-21). Her coaching journey also includes serving as a graduate assistant at Concordia University Texas (2016-18), an assistant coach at Iowa Central Community College (2015-16), and head coach of the Austin Elite AAU program (2017-18).

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Alison has been an excellent assistant coach for Breakthrough Basketball for the past five years, working with players at camps across the country and helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and passion for the game.

As a player, Alison competed for two years at Iowa Central Community College before finishing her collegiate career with two seasons at SMSU. She also continued her playing career at the semi-professional level with the Iowa Force for one season.

With extensive experience as both a player and coach, Alison brings energy, knowledge, and a passion for developing the next generation of basketball players.
