Summary:

"T" is a baseine out of bounds play.

Personnel:

This play requires two post players, two perimeter players, and a good passer as the inbounds player.

Instructions

  • Line up with the posts on the outside and the guards on the inside, all shoulder to shoulder across the foul line.
  • The weak-side post man cuts to the ball first.
  • Then the strong-side post cuts to the opposite block.
  • The opposite perimeter cuts to the front of the rim next.
  • Finally, the strong-side perimeter fakes coming to the ball, then pops back and moves toward the ball-side.
  • In all there are 4 quick passing options.

Additional Comments:

The movements happen in succession, but quickly.
Soft cuts will not work, players must sprint hard towards the ball.
The player taking the ball out must use good ball fakes and make a crisp inbound pass.
