Sorry about all these questions i'm really pushing my luck now but i got one more.

How much would a top highschool ball player with an unbelivable work ethic train or workout a day .
What would their day consist off . E.G. Would they get up early before school and workout and how much would they do after school just stuff like that
I really appreciate all the advice you guy have given
Thanks
Happy holidays

The players I've worked with I suggest they work on their shot as much as possible, which translates to taking 200-400 ranged shots before school. If someone is available to help they do timed perimeter jump shots which includes shots from the 3 point range. In other words 20 15ft jump shots within 1 minute, move back and do the same for 18fters and 3 pointers, that helps simulate quick release shots. That usually takes up around 45 min to 90 minutes.

In the afternoon they usually have practice during season so depending on how they feel we might go back to the courts and work on dribbling and moves such as studder step, jab step, shot fake and their explosion to the basket. If they did poorly in the morning we might also touch on the fundamentals of shooting and try and correct anything they might feel needs work.

the key is to have the passion to be the best and remember that there are other things in life other than basketball... you can easily burn out or loose the passion if you only do basketball morning , noon and night.

What I mentioned above focuses mostly on a gaurds and high school, if your playing post then getting stronger is just as important. at a younger age you may not be playing the position you will play later on in your career, but shooting will always be one of the most important things unless your 6'8 or taller :)
