Coach Sar--I think you're right about the no practices/games being a potential peer issue. It's a recipe for resentment. The club coach said he wants her to be the team leader, but how can she do that if she's not practicing with them? And how could she learn the plays?

When I posed the games only idea to her after school today, she was horrified, b/c she actually likes the practices--it was the tournament that was a disaster. She said she never wants to play another game with this group, so that's that. :) Now I have to figure out how to tactfully tell the coach. Any ideas?

WOW! Talk about tough....... it sounds like she really dislikes them... and if she doesn't want to play with them I wouldn't force her... she woudln't have any fun... and I bet those parents had something to do with her decision. ( you might ask her that )

I don't think that there is any tactful way of saying this...... it might be time for one of those " Little white lies " ?? We always want our kids to be honest, but how do you say to the coach that my daughter doesn't want to play with those girls anymore?

Yes, I think I just need to be very tactful. We really are over scheduled, so that's what I'll tell the team I guess.

That's a great reason - and it takes you and your daughter off the hook.
