From 30-Year Veteran Coach and NBA Skills Trainer Don Kelbick...

Generate High-Quality Offense Against ANY Defense
With This Simplified Motion Offense System

Set your team apart with seamless Transition, Half-Court Man and Half-Court Zone offenses.

...And see noticeable improvements in as little as one practice, no matter your players' age or skill level!

Dear Coach,

Every coach knows the feeling...

Sitting helplessly on the sideline as your team's offense grinds to a halt...

Possession after possession ending in highly contested shots and turnovers...

Winnable games slipping away because your team can't score the basketball.

But that doesn't need to be your team's story this season.

Because I'm about to share the details of simplified Motion Offense System you can quickly implement to:

  • Run teams out of the gym with potent transition game
  • Consistently generate easy layups and open shots in the half-court
  • Get wide open jumpers and backdoor layups at will against any zone
  • Play to the strengths of your personnel
  • Develop high IQ players who instinctively make the right plays

Not only is this system highly effective, it's dead SIMPLE to teach your players.

So simple that coaches like you are making major offensive breakthroughs with their teams... some coaches even claim to see improvements in as little as one practice...

And finally, I'm also going to explain the common but dangerous mistake many coaches (even veterans) make with their offensive systems...

As well as my strategy for avoiding it and maximizing your team's offensive potential.

But let me first start by introducing myself...

Welcome! I'm Coach Don...

My name is Don Kelbick, and I've been coaching basketball players and coaches for over 35 years.

It's hard to put 35 years neatly into a nutshell, but here's a quick snapshot of some highlights:

  • Training 14+ NBA players (including Joe Johnson, Bruce Bowen and Raja Bell)
  • Conducting over 1,000 basketball clinics and camps for players of all age levels
  • Inventing the highly respected Attack & Counter Skill Development System
  • 35 years of coaching (including high school, D-I college and professional)
  • Learned Motion Offense directly from John Wooden, Dean Smith and Bob Knight

Over time, I've learned a lot about how to get the most out of players by giving them the tools they need to be successful.

And one of the best ways to do that is by teaching players the principles of half-court Motion Offense.

But there are many ways to teach Motion.

The path you choose will determine your's and your team's success this season and beyond.

More on that in a minute, but first...

If You're Using Set Plays...

Then you've almost certainly dealt with some of these challenges:

  • Opposing teams learning your plays and shutting them down
  • Players forgetting plays or only understanding "their spot"
  • Tons of practice time spent learning plays instead of developing skills
  • Difficultly scoring consistently in the half court
  • Players standing around on offense waiting to run the play

To be clear, it's not that set plays are always bad.

It's just that they shouldn't be your bread-and-butter offense because there are too many limitations.

And they can hold back your players' development by restricting their freedom to read and react.

Transform Your Offense (Almost) Overnight

I've been teaching motion offense at every level of basketball (youth to pro) for 25+ years.

So I know that when it's taught properly, you can see significant changes in a few practices or less:

  • Increase in open layups and open shots
  • Staying one step ahead of the defense (even against teams you play multiple times)
  • Crisp ball movement and ball reversals
  • Players embracing their roles and helping teammates play to their strengths
  • Playing with a Higher IQ and exploiting defensive weaknesses

This is why coaching legends like Dean Jackson and Bob Knight studied and perfected Motion Offense...

Because when it's run properly, there's no defense that can shut it down.

What Is Motion Offense?

Motion offense is a series of cuts, passes and movement designed to create positive offense.

It's based on 5 key elements:

1. Cutting: All players stay in constant motion. No standing. Ever.

2. Passing: The ball has to move. Overdribbling is our enemy.

3. Screening: Seek opportunities to free up teammates.

4. Ball reversals: Force defenses to make adjustments which will create driving, passing and shooting lanes.

5. Shot selection: Players taking shots they can make rather than shots they have to create.

Why It Works So Well...

The #1 reason why the right Motion Offense can completely transform your team's offensive performance is that it's extremely difficult to scout.

Opposing teams can't learn your plays and anticipate where your players will be...

Because there are no plays and players' movements are always unique.

Everything is based on reading the situation, identifying opportunities and exploiting them.

Some other important in-game benefits of the right Motion Offense are:

  • Improved shooting % due to higher quality shots
  • Lower turnovers and less bad shots as players stop "forcing the issue"
  • Full engagement from all 5 players. Everyone has a role that suits their skill set.
  • Adaptable to the strengths and weaknesses of your team
  • Easy-to-learn which gives you more practice time for skill development
  • Winning more games Scoring efficiently sets the table for success in the standings.

Who Should Run Motion Offense...

Motion Offense is used with tremendous success from youth leagues all the way up to the professional level.

But its impact on youth players is particularly striking.

If I could teach 3rd to 8th grade players any core offensive concept, this would be it.

Not only is it easy to learn, the principles are essential to success at higher levels of basketball.

When you teach young players how to run Motion, you're helping them get the most out of their talent and skill for years to come.

High school and college coaches should also take note....

As scouting becomes a bigger part of the picture at higher levels, giving your team a virtually "unscoutable" offense clearly creates a competitive edge.

And remember, the way you run Motion is highly versatile.

By making this a staple of your school's program, you give yourself continuity across freshman, JV and Varsity...

While also creating flexibility to adapt to your players' strengths each year.

Then Why Isn't Every Team Running Motion?

A lot of coaches try to run a motion offense...

But many make a fundamental (yet understandable) mistake that stops them from seeing success.

I should know, because I made the same mistake for years.

In our effort to teach players, we often create too many rigid rules for them to follow.

Instead of letting them read the situation, make mistakes and learn by experience, we want to dictate every movement.

When this happens, the motion offense starts to blur into a set play.

Can you see the irony?

Creating too many rules will also hinder your transition and zone offense as well, which is why I recommend you...

Throw Out Your Rule Book!

Of course players need guidelines to follow...

But a golden nugget I've learned in decades of coaching is the fewer the rules the better...

So long as they are THE RIGHT RULES (which I'm going to teach you).

I remember having so many motion offense rules in the past that I couldn't even remember them all.

That is not a recipe for success for your team, my team or ANY team.

Let's instead empower our players with options...

And give them the freedom to learn, make mistakes, and use their own unique court vision.

If you do that as a coach, I am confident your players will surprise you with how the respond.

Maybe not the first or the second time...

But with repetitions, they will be running like a well-oiled machine...

And they'll actually know how to play...instead of just knowing a bunch of plays.

But Motion Is Only ONE Piece
of the Offensive Equation

Want to coach a complete offensive team that dominates opponents regardless of the defensive schemes they run?

Then you're going to need a few more tools in your tool belt.

The easiest scoring opportunities happen in transition before the defense sets up, particularly when you have a numbers advantage.

So it's essential to have a Fast Break system based on quick scoring and relentless basket attacks.

Not only will you be able to put points on the board in a hurry...

You'll also wear opposing teams down and break their spirit over the course of the game.

Turning close games into blowouts
in a few short minutes of game time

The key (as with everything I teach) is simplicity...

Simple objective: Attack for layups

Simple execution: Speed and spacing

Simple progression: Seamlessly move into your half court offense

If you can't teach it in a few minutes, it's too complicated!

So throw out the rule book and teach your players how to make plays rather than run plays.

Your Opposing Coach's Nightmare

The final piece of the puzzle is your Zone Offense.

How many times have you seen this happen...

Your team's offense is humming along.

You have a nice lead and you're in control of the game and then...BAM! Your opponent goes into a zone.

Your offense grinds to a halt...

Turnovers and bad shots pile up as you get further out of rhythm.

The lead dries up and now it's anyone's game.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen this happen.

And it's the reason why you need a simple Zone Offense that distorts the zone and keeps the defense off balance.

Of course, it also needs to be versatile enough to slice through multiple types of zones (1-3-1, 2-3, 1-2-2, trap zones, etc) using the same set of core principles.

Do this and your opposing coach is left with two choices:

  1. Watch you run up the score with open shots and easy backdoor opportunities against the zone
  2. Switch back to man defense and let you carve them up with your Motion

And that's only IF you haven't gotten out and scored on the break already.

Shortcut to Success...

When you combine half court motion, transition and zone offenses...

There's not a defensive scheme out there that can shut your team down (assuming relatively similar skill level).

But putting together a cohesive system with all three working seamlessly together is no easy task.

In fact, I spent decades testing, tweaking and perfecting a system that would:

  1. Be dead simple (and surprisingly quick) for any coach to teach
  2. Maximize the skills of your team's personnel
  3. Work across all age and skill levels
  4. Deliver outstanding results against ANY defense

Luckily for you, I've made all the mistakes so you don't have to.

And I put my best insights into a system you can follow to transform your team's offense this season.

The feedback from coaches has been remarkable:

"Love the freedom, simplicity, reliance on player development while still giving the coach opportunities to affect team offense. Also love that kids can play from day 1 and it builds on what they know, rather than creating a situation where a coach is waiting for the team to "get it" over time, as is the case with more structured offenses."

- Todd Rosenthal from New York, NY

"This offensive system is excellent. We implemented it on our JV team and, during a scrimmage against our varsity, we able to score at will. And that was the day after we learned it. The varsity now runs it as their zone offense as well. Our JV is 7-2 so far this season and every team we've played that comes out in a zone quickly switches to man-to -man."

Joe from Porter, TX

"I have a new 5th/6th grade team. I have been struggling for about 4/5 months to get the kids to understand and run a 4 out 1 in motion offense. I saw this, purchased it and have implemented it in 1 practice so far. The kids have responded better to this one practice than they have in 4 months....They were super happy about the easy shots they were getting as well. I wish I had this months ago."

- Barry, Youth Coach

"Excellent - simple and to the point. I have heard coaches talk about implementing their philosophy but this is the first time I have seen anyone actually demonstrate it. This video was as much a "how to teach players" lesson as it was a "how teach players a fast break" lesson."

- SK, Coach

"Coach Kelbick makes teaching this motion offense very easy for coaches by breaking the offense down into 2,3,4, and 5 man drills with and without defense. This video is perfect for any coach looking for a man or zone offense that doesn't have a set pattern."

- Rick from Burdett, KS

"This past season was my first as Head Varsity Boys Coach, and I was looking for an offense to run that would cause my guys to think and react...instead of being robots on the court. I implemented this offense and we picked apart almost every zone offense we faced. Towards the end of the season it got to the point that every time we ran this, we scored by either a wide open three or a back door play of some sort. We finished 16-4 on the season and won our first conference championship in seven years. Thank you Coach Don, looking forward to getting a hold of the other products here at Breakthrough!"

- Brian, High School Varsity Coach

What's a Potent Offense REALLY Worth?

Running an efficient offense is a cornerstone of basketball success at every level.

So much so that I've spent the last 30 years testing, tweaking and perfecting this motion offense...

To get it to the point where it will consistently create quality scoring opportunities for teams of all ages and skill levels..

Coaches routinely pay $2,500 to $6,000 (plus travel expenses) for me to personally teach their teams this exact system at my in-person clinics...

And it's more than worth it at that price...

Especially when you think about the immediate and long-term impact it can have on your team, your players and you as a coach...

  • Winning more games this season
  • Maximizing the talent on your team
  • Teaching your players the right way to play
  • Setting them up for success at higher levels

Considering the far-reaching effects of this program, I think that $199 would be a very fair price.

But part of our commitment at Breakthrough Basketball is to make these resources available to as many coaches as possible.

And we're very sensitive to the fact that cost plays into your choice to move forward.

"I love this man's stuff. Can't wait to implement this with my team. Blew my mind with how simple and adaptable he made it."

Leonard from Cary, NC

"Having implemented this now for about 4 weeks with my team, I know realize the brilliance of his approach - simple but effective. My team is able to have more scoring opportunities with his approach and I am not yelling plays throughout the game. It also got me to relax more as the players made mistakes since they could easily recover from them which in turned helped the players relax and focus more on making good decisions in the game. He also breaks it down into manageable parts so that it does not get complicated. "

- G Harter, Concord, VA

"Excellent video! I've been looking for a zone offense that uses a lot of motion yet keeps it simple. My 5th grade bball team picked it up easily within 20 minutes. I can't wait to try it out in a game soon!"

- Joel Reinhart, Tampa FL

"I love it! I started to implement the motion offense in practice the day after I received it and could already see a big difference in our movement and proper screen setting. I let my team watch the video and for some they picked it up a lot quicker when they were able to visually see how the offense should be ran. It's almost mid season and for some it's just now starting to click, by tournament time we'll be a lot more advanced and we'll definitely be a tough team to guard by then!"

- Derrick Shambo, Hays MT

"Really liked this series. I coach 9-10yr old boys and this really changed the way I coached. Went from not winning a game last season to 8-3 (losses were early in the season before the boys really grasped the concept) this season starting from square one teaching rules (only 3) as suggested in the videos. I was really proud of the fact that we had multiple games where every player scored at least once and other games where all but one or two would score. It wasn't just one or two kids doing everything. Towards the end of the season, our games were only close when our shots weren't falling. The great thing is that I've barely implemented the cuts and screens so there's a lot more potential there as we move up in age."

- Caleb, Claremore, OK

"Awesome Video. I went into it expecting some magical break setup that would transform my team via improved X's and O's. What I got was something better. Our break was pretty much what Coach Kelbick does, but the drills he included and the overriding aggressive and attacking mindset to incorporate into our break is what will make our transition game better. Another great video from Don Kelbick."

- Chris Hergenrader

"His concepts are simple and straightforward and he sticks to the philosophy of teaching kids how to become basketball players and not just run plays."

- Dave from Orlando, FL
