Purpose of the Drill:
The drill teaches the ball reversal into a ball screen and is a foundational drill for the 3 out 2 in offense that Coach Zavada runs against a man to man defense.
Instructions

- To start, have your point at the top of tkey key, your wing player at the wing, and your post at the block.
- Start the ball out top.

- Wing makes a V cut to get open at the three point line and point passes him the ball.

- Once the pass is completed to the wing, the point cuts through, all the way to the baseline, just beyond the three point line.
- The big, player 5, replaces the point and cuts to the top of the key.
- The wing, passes the ball back to the top of the key.

- With the ball at the top of the key, the wing goes and sets a downscreen on the point, who is near the three point line at the baseline.
- The point comes off the screen and receives the pass from the big at the top of the key.

- You can add a fourth player on the opposite wing, Player 2.
- Instead of making the pass to a cutting player 1, have the big, Player 5, reverse the ball to Player 2 on the opposite wing.
- Player 2 would come off the ball screen and hit a jumper, drive to the basket, or Player 5 could roll to the basket.

- The final step would be to add defenders to make it 3 v. 3 or 4 v. 4.
Points of Emphasis:
- Need go V and curl cuts to get open.
- Strong passes.
- Teach the guards to get into the paint when they come off the ball screen on the reversal.
- Screener always opens up shoulder that his teammate goes off from.
