Lead Instructor - Tyler Sass 

Tyler Sass is a dedicated basketball coach and player development specialist with experience at the high school, AAU, and elite national levels. Based in Iowa, Tyler has built a strong reputation for developing talent, mentoring athletes, and helping players reach the next level both on and off the court.

Tyler began his coaching career as Co-Director of Beyond Ball AAU in Des Moines from 2017 to 2019, where he played a key role in program development and athlete progression. He then served as Director of the Northside Basketball Club and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Des Moines North High School (2019–2020), helping elevate performance standards and player development within the program.

From 2020 to 2021, Tyler coached with MOKAN Elite Nike EYBL in Kansas City, one of the top grassroots basketball programs in the country, competing on the Nike EYBL circuit and working with elite-level prospects.

In addition to his team coaching roles, Tyler has worked as a personal trainer and mentor for high-level athletes, including Omaha Biliew, a McDonald’s All-American and Team USA participant, Tyreke Locure, a record-setting scorer and current professional player, and Ruot Bijiek, a standout collegiate athlete at Bucknell University.

Known for his ability to connect with players and maximize their potential, Tyler combines skill development, strength training, and mentorship to prepare athletes for success at the next level. His experience across grassroots, high school, and elite national circuits gives him a well-rounded perspective on player growth and long-term development.
